Welcome to the Col. Samuel St. George Rogers Camp 1865, Sons of Confederate Veterans! 

We are the Sons of Confederate Veterans Camp in Marion County, Florida.  We meet at the Ocala Elks Lodge located at 702 NE 25th Ave., Ocala, Florida 34470.  Our next meeting is on Tuesday, December 16, 2025, at 6:30 PM.

Our 3rd Annual Lee Jackson Dinner is on January 24, 2026 at the Veterans of Foreign Wars Hall, 9401 SW 110 St., Ocala, FL 34481.  The social hour and silent auction begin at 6 PM, with dinner starting at 7 PM.  Our speaker this year is Author and Historian Michael C. Our mission is to preserve the history and the legacy of the Confederate veteran and all that he stood for. This mission was outlined in 1906 by Lt. General Stephen Dill Lee at a reunion of the United Confederate Veterans, a group of our ancestors who fought for the cause of independent governance. This is known as our “Charge,” and something we as a Camp take very seriously:

"To you, Sons of Confederate Veterans, we will commit the vindication of the cause for which we fought. To your strength will be given the defense of the Confederate soldier’s good name, the guardianship of his history, the emulation of his virtues, the perpetuation of those principles which he loved and which you love also, and those ideals which made him glorious and which you also cherish."
