Welcome to the Col. Samuel St. George Rogers Camp 1865, Sons of Confederate Veterans!

We are the Sons of Confederate Veterans Camp in Marion County, Florida.  We currently meet in Ocala at the Marion County Veterans Exhibit Center at 2528 E. Silver Springs Blvd., Ocala, FL 34470.  We meet on the 4th Tuesday of the month at 7 PM.

Our mission is to preserve the history and the legacy of the Confederate veteran and all that he stood for. This mission was outlined in 1906 by Lt. General Stephen Dill Lee at a reunion of the United Confederate Veterans, a group of our ancestors who fought for the cause of independent governance. This is known as our “Charge,” and something we as a Camp take very seriously:

"To you, Sons of Confederate Veterans, we will commit the vindication of the cause for which we fought. To your strength will be given the defense of the Confederate soldier’s good name, the guardianship of his history, the emulation of his virtues, the perpetuation of those principles which he loved and which you love also, and those ideals which made him glorious and which you also cherish."

-  Lt. General Stephen Dill Lee, Commander General,

   United Confederate Veterans,

New Orleans, Louisiana, April 25, 1906

Join us as we continue the mission to preserve the history of our Confederate veterans and our honor our Southern heritage. Whether you are a direct descendant (great, great, great grandson, etc.), a collateral descendant (distant cousin, nephew, etc) or neither and want to help us in our mission, we welcome you. Contact us today and join. You can navigate to the Contact page, email us at scvcamp1865@gmail.com, leave a message or text us at (352) 448-7820. We will get back to you quickly.
